Emma Raducanu appointed yet another coach, as she's set to start the 2023 WTA season under Sebastian Sachs.

The Brith went with a coach, who worked with another player recently, as Sachs is a former coach of Belinda Bencic, and he was part of her team when she won the Olympic Gold.

Raducanu last worked with Dmitry Tursunov during the North American stretch, and she showed some positive signs at the time. Tursunov then regrettably departed Raducanu's team because of some conflicts, even though he acknowledged they had little to do with her specifically.

Now, the 2021 US Open champion made her a decision about who's going to lead her into the upcoming season, and the name is Sebastian Sachs.

It's extremely unusual for tennis players to change coaches often, and Sachs has been her fifth coach in the past 18 months. Tursunov acknowledged that Raducanu was a two-year project when they started working, adding that her game needs to be polished because it is currently quite raw.

However, with the frequent coaching changes, it may be difficult for any coach to properly start working on any project, as working with such a young player is more of a long-term project rather than a short-term stint.

Only time will tell how well she can do under the new coach, but it's clear that there's a lot to improve, as Raducanu lost to Ons Jabeur on December 12th, 2022, at the 2022 Mubadala World Tennis Championship, 7-5, 3-6, 8-10.

The new season is right around the corner, and Raducanu is expected to play one of the preparation events before heading to Melbourne for the Australian Open, where she'll want to target the Grand Slam title once again, even though this time, not as one of the seeded players, as she's ranked far from the world's Top 32.
