Elena Rybakina has one trophy to her name in 2024, but she's hoping for another one on Sunday at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Open, where she'll face Daria Kasatkina in the final.

Rybakina has been pretty spectacular this year, as she's already won a trophy in Brisbane, and now she has a chance to win another one. The only bad event she played was the Australian Open, which is unfortunate because it's a Grand Slam, but she's been really good apart from that this year.

Even this week, the Kazakhstani played really well, cruising through most of her matches. That's not the case for Kasatkina, who had to play a three-hour semifinal to get to the final, so it will be very interesting to see whether she'll have anything left in the tank.

Head-to-head:

The matchup between them so far has been pretty interesting. They have played four matches so far, with both players having two wins apiece. The most recent meeting happened in Montreal last year, and Rybakina won that match in three sets.

There is nothing spectacular to note in the matchups outside of them being close. Three of the four matches went to three sets, which is a very close matchup, but there are so many things pointing in the direction of Rybakina in this one.

Prediction:

When it comes to the match, we have to mention Kasatkina's fatigue level. She spent a lot of time on the courts leading up to the final, and that won't help her in the final at all.

Rybakina, on the other hand, has been quite fresh, finishing matches quickly, and looks really confident in her tennis. We'll see whether the Russian can give her any problems because she has generally been able to.

She's a fighter who extends rallies, which should make it tough for Rybakina to finish off points easily. I still favor Rybakina to win.

Prediction: Elena Rybakina to win in two sets.
