There were some significant changes in the WTA Rankings after the 2022 US Open, even though Iga Swiatek managed to keep her World No. 1 spot.

Swiatek's No. 1 position has never been under threat during the US Open. She's been the most dominant player of the 2022 season, which is why, even after the last Grand Slam of the season, she has double the points that the player right behind her has. The Polish player leads the WTA Rankings with 10,365 points.

Although the top spot didn't change, there were plenty of changes in the Top 10. Ons Jabeur moved to the World No. 2 position after making it to the final in New York. She jumped up from the fourth place and now has 5,090 points.

Anett Kontaveit, on the other hand, slipped down by one place. She lost already in the second round to Serena Williams, which is why her points total now shows only 4,300 points.

The Estonian is ahead of the only player other than Swiatek in the Top 10 whose position didn't change. Paula Badosa was the World No. 4 before the New York Slam, and she kept her position also after it.

Jessica Pegula, on the other hand, significantly improved. She is now the World No. 5 player with 3,501 points. But her lead over the two players right behind her is tiny. Sixth, Maria Sakkari has 3,480 points, and seventh, Aryna Sabalenka has 3,470 points. That means these three players are separated only by 31 points.

There is also a new name in the Top 10. Coco Gauff made her debut in the Top 10 after her home Slam. She is now eighth with 3,047 points. Simona Halep, on the other hand, dropped down by two positions after her first-round loss.

Closing out the Top 10 is Caroline Garcia, who has 2,930 points. The French player improved by seven places after the US Open. On the other hand, a couple of players went in the opposite direction.

Emma Raducanu, who won the title last year, dropped down by 72 places to the World No. 83 position, while last year's finalist, Leylah Fernandez, slid down to the World No. 40 spot after being ranked 14th previously.
