Aryna Sabalenka kept the World No. 1 rank in the latest edition of the WTA Rankings. Belinda Bencic was the mover of the week.

Only some players chose to compete at the Abu Dhabi Open and the Transylvania Open in Cluj. Most of the players rested to be fully fit for the two consecutive WTA 1000 events in Doha and Dubai.

However, those who competed were rewarded for their efforts, and Belinda Bencic's name stands out the most when it comes to successful players last week.

Bencic won the title in Abu Dhabi, which guaranteed her 500 points. Since she's competing in her first full season since becoming a mother, the Swiss player doesn't defend almost any points this year. That means she will continue only adding points to her total.

Her first big addition came already at the WTA 500 event in Abu Dhabi. Thanks to her win, the Swiss player moved up by an incredible 92 positions. Bencic was catapulted up to the World No. 65 position. She currently has 963 points.

While Bencic's situation allows her to move a lot in the rankings, that isn't the case in the Top 10. There were only a few changes in the Top 10 of the WTA Rankings this week.

Aryna Sabalenka is still the highest-ranked player in the world. She has a total of 8,956 points, which remained unchanged compared to the previous week. Behind her is still Iga Swiatek, who is second with her 8,770 points.

There is a slight gap behind these two players. Coco Gauff has 6,538 points, and she's ranked third in the world. Jasmine Paolini also has a significant gap to the American player. The Italian sits at the World No. 4 position with 5,288 points.

But behind the Top 4, the situation gets interesting. Elena Rybakina was the World No. 5 player ahead of the previous week, but since she wasn't able to defend her title in Abu Dhabi, she fell down by two spots.

The Kazakhstani player lost 305 points. She won 500 points for her triumph last year, and her run to the semi-finals meant only 195 points this year. Because of that, Rybakina's total changed to 4,588 points, which is enough only for the World No. 7 position.

That's because Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys moved ahead of her. Pegula has 4,861 points, and she's ranked fifth in the world, while the recent Australian Open champion is sixth with 4,680 points. Both of these players moved up by one place.

The rest of the Top 10, on the other hand, remained unchanged. Qinwen Zheng is eighth with 4,095 points. Behind her, Emma Navarro has 3,709 points, and tenth Paula Badosa has 3,588 points.
