Coco Gauff's outfit at the 2025 Australian Open has generated much attention. The American spoke specifically about her shoes after her latest Australian Open victory.

Gauff has done two funny interviews about her outfit. She is wearing a bodysuit designed by New Balance that combines white and green during daytime matches and is neon-yellow in nighttime contests.

After beating Sofia Kenin in the opening round, Gauff revealed that female Marvel superheroes inspired the bodysuit and then had fans in stitches by admitting that it can be difficult to use the bathroom in.

The 20-year-old generated more laughter after defeating Leylah Fernandez in the third round. Gauff mentioned that she had done an Instagram story about how she gets the outfit on and off when using the bathroom.

However, Gauff then clarified that it was not a physical demonstration and put her head in her hands after feeling she had given too much information. The moment went viral on social media because of its hilarity.

In the on-court interview after a hard-fought victory against Belinda Bencic, Gauff was asked about her shoes. She revealed her father's desire for his daughter to play basketball inspired them.

"My dad played basketball and he always wanted me to play basketball and actually he put me in unwillingly. (laughs) But actually it was pretty fun and my mom did track (track and field) so they put me in track. So these shoes are inspired by basketball shoes which is why I wanted them to be higher to look like basketball shoes."

Gauff then made a jokingly boastful comment about being the only current active player on the WTA Tour with her own signature shoes. She also praised New Balance for their help in designing a pair of signature shoes that are so impressive.

"New Balance and I are always looking to do things that haven't really been done in tennis before and I think this is one of the first shoes of its kind. And also I have to flex because I'm the only current active player on Tour with a signature shoe, so I'm really happy about that."

A picture of Gauff's eye-catching New Balance shoes can be viewed below. They are undoubtedly a unique and visually superb pair. Those who designed them must be very pleased with the positive reception they have received.

Gauff's next match at the Australian Open will be against Paula Badosa. The Spaniard made a slow start to 2025 before the season's opening Grand Slam but has played superb tennis to reach the quarterfinal.

Badosa has had her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas in the stands for every match in Melbourne so far. The 27-year-old had to clarify after her third-round victory against Marta Kostyuk that animated gestures she made to her team were not aimed at Tsitsipas.

While Gauff will start the match as a deserved favorite, Badosa's powerful game is dangerous. Gauff might need all her athleticism and defensive skills to overcome Badosa's hard-hitting style.
