The 2025 ATX Open will take place the week before the Sunshine Double begins in March. The prize money and points for the tournament have been revealed.

First played in 2023, Marta Kostyuk, who stunned Coco Gauff at the 2025 Qatar Open, won the first iteration of the tournament, beating Varvara Gracheva in the final to secure the title in Texas.

Yuan Yue was last year's winner. She overcame Xiyu Wang in an all-Chinese affair to claim the first WTA title of her career after an unexpected run to glory at the 2024 ATX Open.

Some WTA 250 tournaments lack star quality, but this year's edition of the ATX Open will not have that issue because world No. 5 and American No. 2 Jessica Pegula has committed to playing at the tournament.

There could have been even more top players in action had Madison Keys been allowed to play. The Australian Open champion was announced for the tournament last year, meaning two high-profile Americans would have been in action.

However, her Australian Open success meant she re-entered the Top 10. Strict WTA rules state that no more than one Top 10 player can enter WTA 250 tournaments, despite how much those events get harmed in the process.

Nonetheless, Pegula's presence, in particular, means there is still a decent entry list for the ATX Open, which begins on February 24th. The prize money and ranking points on offer for the players are familiar for a WTA 250 tournament.

$275,094 is the total prize money pot to be distributed. Those who reach the latter stages of the tournament in Texas will receive the highest percentage of that total, giving players extra incentive to go far.

The 2025 ATX Open champion will receive $36,300 and 250 ranking points. Although that prize money will be attractive to all players, Pegula has probably already received a healthy appearance fee for playing in Texas.

This year's runner-up at the ATX Open will earn $21,484 and 163 ranking points. Wang, because of her experience was a slight favorite in the 2024 final, but finished as the runner-up to her superior compatriot Yuan.

Anhelina Kalinina and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova were the losing semifinalists in Texas last year. Replicating that achievement in 2025 will earn those two players $11,970 and 98 ranking points.

Four women will be defeated in the quarterfinal. 2024 Miami Open champion Danielle Collins retired at that stage last year. That was her one of her last matches before her incredible winning streak in Miami and Charleston, securing both titles.

The defeated quarterfinalists will receive $6,815 and 54 ranking points. Those are not massive rewards, but could still make a significant difference to lower-ranked players in the draw for the tournament.

$4,160 and 30 points will be given for reaching the second round. One ranking points, which almost feels pointless to award, is handed to players who lose in the opening round, along with $2,975.

WTA 250 tournaments often do not receive the attention they deserve, but the 2025 ATX Open should be a very enjoyable event.
