The 2022 Napoli Cup probably won't be a tournament that fans or players will look back on as it faces controversy every day.

It all started with terrible tennis courts that all players complained about. Therefore, the qualifying matches had to be postponed by one day and eventually, the 2022 Napoli Cup main draw started on Tuesday not on Monday.

Because of issues with courts, the event had to be played in various locations, with one of them not being suitable for tennis since players reported that courts were too slippery. Moreover, Andreas Seppi, who is retiring from professional tennis, was denied a chance to play the tournament as he revealed one day after announcing his retirement.

But that's not everything. Nicolas Barrientos played his first-round match in doubles with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela on Tuesday. The duo lost to Nikola Cacic and Aisam Qureshi, but that wasn't the worst thing that happened to the Colombian that day.

When he returned to his room, he found out that all of his personal belongings were moved outside of the room and quickly recorded a video explaining the whole situation:

"This filled the cup! How can this happen in an ATP250, not even in a Challenger had it happened to me, well I think it happened to my partner in a Challenger organized by the same company as this 250."

"Napoli ATP250, I arrive at the lobby after playing my match at 5 pm and find all my belongings and my wife's in the lobby, poorly packed, various things lying on the floor. I check my email and see an email that arrived at 4 pm while I was playing, notifying me that I had to change hotels again. They had already changed me once on the second day of my arrival at the tournament."

"I think I don't even need to mention the fact that the courts that everyone knows, and the qualifier and first round of doubles were played at a club 40 minutes from the official club. I hope that the ATP Tour will take measures to prevent players from having to go through these situations. Especially when the same incident is repeated in tournaments organized by the same company."
