Grigor Dimitrov will compete at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters, but he will do so with a completely new haircut.
The Bulgarian returned to the Top 10 on the ATP Tour recently, as he's been enjoying some of his best tennis on the tennis court, which is why he was able to reach the Miami Open final.
After the Sunshine Double was over, Dimitrov knew that it was time to focus on the clay-court part of the season, and seemingly, he wanted to keep focused on what matters the most - tennis, even eliminating his hair from the equation.
After his final run at the 2024 Miami Open, the 32-year-old spoke about his dedication to the sport, after he struggled to put together results over the past few years since his breakthrough in 2017.
"I, for one, also want to thank myself for the work that I have been putting in, for the discipline, for the hard hours that I have been, doing for the heartaches, for the pain, for everything that we're going through behind the scenes."
"You need to also acknowledge those things. You need to embrace them as well. You need to cherish them. I also think those things are making you a better person. My mom always used to say before being a great champion is be a great person. This is the thing I have always focused on since I was a kid."
After his run in Miami, Dimitrov already moved to Monte Carlo, Monaco, where he practiced ahead of the season's first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year.
Many were surprised when the Bulgarian player hit the tennis court, as he was sporting a new haircut, with his hair going missing and a brand-new buzzcut taking place. His haircut also wasn't the only thing surprising the fans, as Dimitrov also sported Asics shoes during his practice.
