Carlos Alcaraz saved the first match point he faced in his semi-final match at the 2022 Barcelona Open in amazing fashion, delivering an otherwordly passing shot past Alex de Minaur on the net.

The shot left everyone at the Pista Rafael Nadal stunned, including Alcaraz himself, who could not help to smile after the point of understanding that it's not something you see or do every day.

De Minaur had the upper hand in the rally, but he delivered a weak attacking shot, which gave the Spaniard an opportunity to get the ball back. Nobody expected him to get it back that way, and it truly proved to be a momentum-shifting moment in the match, at 7-6(4), 6-5, and 40-15 for de Minaur.

De Minaur didn't use his second match point in the match, losing it with an unforced error, and he ended up losing his serve in that game. He lost the tie-break and then the match as well, sending Alcaraz to the final in which he smashed Pablo Carreno Busta.

After the match against the Australian, Alcaraz was asked about the special shot, and the teenager admitted that he was lucky.

"I was lucky. I mean, I did a passing shot. I don't know how, how I did it. He was pretty pretty close."

The scoreboard showed 7-6(4), 6-5, and 40-15 for de Minaur when Alcaraz pulled out the incredible shot, and it was the crucial shot on the Spaniard's journey towards the title at the 2022 Barcelona Open.

It was another trophy in his cabinet, this time an ATP 500 trophy. There was certainly a bit of skill in his spectacular shot that carried him to that title, as well as a tremendous amount of luck.

Who dares wins, and it certainly proved true once more in the Spaniard's match. Alcaraz is a true crowd magnet, and shots like that prove why that's the case.
