Carlos Alcaraz rose like a rocket in the ATP Rankings and after winning his second ATP Masters 1000 title, he became a big star in the tennis world.

For many months, Rafael Nadal was addressed as the young Spaniard's idol, as many compare the two. Carlos Alcaraz also won a tournament in Rafa Nadal Academy and mentioned numerous times that he looks up to his more experienced countryman. However, when he was 12-years-old, it looks like he had a different opinion.

Carlos Alcaraz was asked a series of questions, asking also about his name, age and biggest win so far in his young career. When asked about which Grand Slam tournament he would like to win, the young Spaniard said: "Roland Garros and Wimbledon" Then, he was asked about his idol, when to the surprise of many, he answered: "Roger Federer".

Currently, the Swiss Maestro is not competing on the ATP Tour as he's recovering from an injury. However, he already confirmed that he will play at the 2022 Swiss Indoors in Basel and Roger Federer is the only player from the 'Big Four' including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray, that is yet to play against the young Spanish superstar.
