Stefanos Tsitsipas Confirms 2024 Barcelona Open Participation

One of the events that Stefanos Tsitsipas has rarely skipped over in recent years was the Barcelona Open, and he won't skip it this year either.

Stefanos Tsitsipas loves to play on clay and does it very well. He's been one of the most consistent performers on clay in the last few years, winning several trophies, including a couple of ATP Masters 1000.

He also made the Roland Garros final, though he wasn't able to win it. On top of that, the Greek also made the Barcelona Open final three times but wasn't able to win it.

The Spaniards were too tough: Rafael Nadal bested him in the first two finals, while Carlos Alcaraz did it last year. Despite all of that, Tsitsipas is keen to return to the event, where he holds a career record of 16 wins and only four losses.

It's just a great place for him to be, and he's going to be back later this year. The 2024 Barcelona Open has confirmed his participation with a press release quoting Tsitsipas, who described the event as one of his favorites to play, which is why he keeps coming back.

The record and his results certainly prove that, so Tsitsipas will definitely be one of the favorites in Barcelona again. The ATP 500 event will run from April 14th to the 21st, and the draw is likely going to be very strong.

Until then, Tsitsipas will compete at the Indian Wells Open, where the draw determined that he'll play either Daniel Altmaier or a qualifier in the second round.

It's been a not-so-successful year for the Greek so far, with no spectacular results, and tennis has been neither his peak nor his low point. He had a pretty bad clay season for his standards last year, so very important months in his career follow.
