Novak Djokovic is in play for the Calendar Grand Slam once again, and his coach Goran Ivanisevic thinks he can get it done.
The Serbian is unbeaten at Grand Slams this year, having won both the Australian Open and the French Open. The Serbian proved iconic once more, cruising easily past a much younger player and making things look easy.
Unbothered and undefeated is the motto in Paris this year, with a stylish jacket confirming that he never seriously doubted himself. The most Grand Slams won by a man in history, and a chance to create some more records.
He broke a few of them at Roland Garros, and he'll extend another one on Monday as well. One more week as the World No. 1 after he reclaimed the spot with the victory over Casper Ruud.
And also a chance to try to complete the calendar Grand Slam. He was very close two years ago but lost to Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final.
Medvedev was the perfect player to deny Djokovic the achievement as he doesn't have flashy jackets to show off, but he does have a certain attitude, which helped him to deny the Serbian a historic achievement at Flushing Meadows.
But in 2023, Djokovic can once again complete the Calendar Slam, and according to his coach, Goran Ivanisevic, he's the only player who can win the Calendar Grand Slam.
"Novak is the only player who can win the Calendar Grand Slam. He was one match away two years ago, so he has a chance this year. But it's still, you know, long way. But, you know, Grand Slams are the goal. I don't know how many, but yeah, I think he has in his body a lot more."
