Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz: 2024 Six Kings Slam - Preview & Prediction

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will delight tennis fans with their craft once again, and this time, they will play in the 2024 Six Kings Slam final.

The two young guns had already gotten used to seeing each other on the tennis courts. This will be already their 12th meeting, even though only 10 count towards the official statistics.

In recent months, they have been arguably two of the best players on the ATP Tour, and they proved it at recent events as well, as all big tournaments since the Cincinnati Open were won by either of these two.

Sinner won in Cincinnati and at the US Open; Alcaraz then triumphed at the China Open, before the Italian player reigned supreme again at the Shanghai Masters.

Now, one of them will take home the trophy from the inaugural Six Kings Slam, which is a star-studded exhibition event held during the Riyadh Season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Since two legends of the game, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who will play in the third-place match, were seeded into the semi-finals of the tournament, the World No. 1 and No. 2 players had to start in the quarter-finals.

Sinner bested Daniil Medvedev in his first match at the event, before he was able to overcome also Djokovic. Alcaraz, on the other hand, outplayed Holger Rune, and he also won the match against his idol Nadal.

Now, these two will, deservedly, meet in the final match of the 2024 Six Kings Slam, and even though they both obviously want to win just because of their sheer competitiveness, the $6 million paycheque for the champion will certainly work as an added motivation.

Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Head-to-head:

This will be the 12th meeting between the two, and the second won't count towards the official statistic. That one previous match was their first-round meeting at the ATP Challenger event in Alicante, Spain, which the Spanish player won.

Alcaraz was the more successful player since then as well. He was briefly losing the H2H when Sinner surprisingly beat him at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships and then also in the Croatia Open final four weeks after that, but since then, the Spaniard turned the H2H around.

Alcaraz leads the H2H 6-4, and he has also won the last three matches they played, which were all played this year. That means that Sinner's last win against Alcaraz came in 2023 at the China Open.

Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction:

Although Sinner seems to be the problem for everyone on the ATP Tour, Alcaraz seems to be the Italian's problem, at least lately. He is one of the very few players that can outhit him, and their last three matches showed that this matchup might favor him a little bit more.

On top of that, Alcaraz looked as confident as ever during his stay in Saudi Arabia, while Sinner physically struggled against Djokovic, which, once again, should give Alcaraz an advantage in this match.

Prediction: Carlos Alcaraz to win in three sets.
