During his semifinal match at the 2022 Paris Masters, when Novak Djokovic took on Stefanos Tsitsipas, something else than tennis caught an eye of some spectators.

Coaching team of the 21-time Grand Slam champion prepared a drink for him and the process of doing so was quite secret. While some claimed, that they are just trying to hide their secrets of how to energize the athlete, others thought there might be something illegal going on.

However, despite many different opinions, the only fact remains that Novak Djokovic never tested positive for a banned substance and therefore, it can be expected that everything done during that mysterious moment was completely legal.

Former pro, Patrick McEnroe also spoke about it recently in his podcast when he brought up the positive test of Simona Halep to show how easy it is to to recognize a banned substance. On a recent episode of the podcast Holding Court with Patrick McEnroe, he talked openly about the subject.

"As we found out recently with Simona Halep testing positive, these players are getting tested all the time," Patrick McEnroe said. "So if there was anything illegal in the drinks that they were mixing, which they do for them all the time during matches, it's likely that he would test positive for it."
