Carlos Alcaraz will face Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon Championships final once more, but this time, he knows what he has to do to win.
Last year's Wimbledon final went Alcaraz's way, but the Spaniard didn't know what he had to do to beat Djokovic. He solved problems in real time and won the match, which was impressive, but this year is different.
The 21-year-old has the experience of last year, so he'll know what he needs to do to win the match again. Obviously, the Serbian player has the chance to change some things and make things more difficult for Alcaraz, but the youngster is very confident heading into the match.
He expects the same from the 37-year-old because after they played a few times, both know what to do to win the match. Ultimately, it will come down to which player manages to do that because planning is one thing, but executing a plan is another.
"Last year it was a really difficult match. He put me in real trouble. But, I know how it’s going to feel playing against Djokovic. I’ve played few times in Grand Slams, final of Masters 1000, multiple times against him."
"I know what I have to do. I’m sure he knows what he has to do to beat me. It’s going to be a really interesting one if I’m going to play against Djokovic for sure. But I’m ready to take that challenge and I’m ready to do it well."
It's going to be an exciting matchup on the Centre Court on Sunday, but one thing that Alcaraz has on his side is his fitness. Djokovic's knee is always the point of the debate, especially in a long five-set match.
However, reality can be very different, because Djokovic won a major 24 times, and experience will be on his side.
