The 2022 World Tennis League in Dubai will include four teams from December 19 to December 24 with some of the top ATP and WTA players in the world.

18 professional athletes will compete in the World Tennis League, a brand-new competition, over the course of six days at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. One of those will be also Nick Kyrgios, who was drawn in The Eagles team alongside Bianca Andreescu, Caroline Garcia, Rohan Bopanna and Andreas Seppi.

Currently, the Australian is scheduled to play against Felix Auger-Aliassime on the opening day. Then, he should meet Novak Djokovic in their meeting with The Falcons and on the last day of round-robin stage, Kyrgios should take on Alexander Zverev from The Hawks. Speaking ahead of the event, he said:

"I cannot wait to be part of the WTL. As you all know, I thrive and have so much fun in a team environment. I can't wait to meet my team and see what we can accomplish during that week," Kyrgios said.

"An event like this for the fans is so important for fan interactions and ability to see female and male athletes come together is really really cool."

Speaking about his potential opponents, the Australian talked about his Wimbledon final opponent and the 21-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic.

"The team for me that has my eye is definitely Novak and The Falcons. I can't wait to come up against that team and I guarantee an Eagle win," he concluded.
