Hubert Hurkacz drew Jack Draper at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters, which will be a rematch of their last year's match.
Tennis sometimes works in strange ways, and that's what this matchup between Draper and Hurkacz has been. Hurkacz has been pretty decent this year, which is similar to his career. He's always been quite decent, really great at times, but not always.
His performances in Estoril this week certainly prove that he's capable of doing some damage on clay, and that's great ahead of the Monte-Calro Masters. The draw gave him a tricky player in Draper, whom he barely beat last year in Monaco.

Hurkacz and Draper have played only three times against each other, two of which happened last year. The first one is the aforementioned Monte-Carlo clash which he won, which was a pretty great match that went the distance.
The Polish player was able to win that one, but Draper responded at the US Open. The Brit won that match in three sets, so it's an interesting match that could go either way.
It's going to be played on clay, so that's certainly something to consider. The other thing to consider is that Draper is not playing really well at the moment, and certainly not as well as Hurkacz.

Prediction:
There is a player who has been playing really well recently in Hurkacz and a player who hasn't played that well recently in Draper. The Pole also beat Draper on these very courts last year, though the match was quite complicated and could have gone either way.
It's pretty obvious that Hurkacz should win based on everything, and I'm going to back him to do so. Fatigue will be a concern, but I think he'll handle it well.
Prediction: Hubert Hurkacz to win in three sets.
