Aljaz Bedene played against both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, and he recently spoke about the popular greatest of all time (GOAT) debate.

Federer and Djokovic are two of the three greatest tennis players in the history of the sport. They both enjoyed their era of dominance and won at least 20 Grand Slam titles in their career.

Federer has won 20 majors, Djokovic has 21 Grand Slam trophies in his cabinet, and Rafael Nadal has the most out of these players. The Spanish legend won at the Grand Slam level 22 times.

Bedene had a chance to play against all of them. He lost four times against Djokovic. The Slovenian player was unlucky to play against Djokovic three times at majors, and he has never won a set against the 21-time Grand Slam champion.

He hasn't won a set against Federer either, losing to him twice before. The same applies to his two matches against Nadal as well.

Still, despite not having success against the Big Three, Bedene assessed the GOAT debate recently. In an interview with the Serbian publication Sportklub, Bedene explained that, according to him, Federer had the biggest influence on the sport.

"Let's not close our eyes, Roger had the greatest influence on tennis."

At the same time, he thinks that Djokovic will end up being the most successful player when it comes to results. He thinks that the Serbian player will win the most majors and maybe even surpass Federer when it comes to the number of titles won.

"The best, in terms of results, will definitely be Djokovic. I am of the opinion that after the retirement of all the members of the elite trio, the Serb will have the largest number of Grand Slams, Masters, maybe even the number of tournaments. I have played with all three at least twice, Nole has the hardest ball, he is perfect."
