Novak Djokovic was slated to finish the year as the player who earned the most but it will be Carlos Alcaraz as he became the 5th player ever to finish the year with over 10 million in prize money.

Players receive an ATP bonus based on their performances throughout the year, and Alcaraz received a sizable package that put him over $10 million. The bonus is largely based on how well players perform throughout the year as well as how many significant events they attend.

Besides now Alcaraz, four players previously had earned over 10 million in a season and they are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray. Alcaraz will now finish the year with 10.1 million in prize money which is more than Djokovic's 9,9 million.

Due to missing a lot of events this year, Djokovic did not get any of the bonus. The top 10 after the bonus distribution has Alcaraz on top, Djokovic second, Nadal third, Ruud fourth and Tsitsipas 5th. The next five are Auger-Aliassime, Rublev, Fritz, Medvedev and Hurkacz.
