Borna Coric and Alexander Bublik will contest the 2024 Montpellier Open final, but only one can win the ATP 250 title.
This is a very interesting matchup between two players who earned their spot in the final. On one side, there is Borna Coric, who has been solid all week long and got a bit lucky in the semi-final.
Much of that comes from his serve, which has been really good, and that matters indoors. He's known for these weeks when everything clicks for him, and he wins the trophy.
It's quite similar for Bublik, who has had a tougher path, but he handled it well. He won most of his matches in three sets, which means he's quite depleted physically, but that's never a problem. He's no fan of long rallies anyway, so don't expect many here.
Head-to-head:
We've seen them play only once so far, and it happened last year in Halle. Bublik actually won that match 6-3, 6-1, which may be important for him in this match. Still, Coric is generally not a player that you beat easily, so the result of that match may be a little surprising.
Bublik likes to play aggressively, especially on the return. If he can find his return, then Coric is basically disarmed. There is not much he can do there, as Bublik can again impose his will in rallies.

Prediction:
The crucial part here will be Coric's serve. It's not unbreakable and hasn't been this week, so Bublik will have his chances. He can win if the Croatian serves well enough to keep Bublik away from any breakpoints.
I still expect Bublik to win because he's proven unshakable this week. That rarely happens and usually ends with the trophy.
Prediction: Alexander Bublik to win in three sets.
