The 2023 Rio Open is one of the most-popular clay-court events in the first quarter of the season and it's held from February 20th to 26th at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Last year, teenager Carlos Alcaraz lifted the trophy at this ATP 500 event in South America and he's on the entry list also for the 2023 event, ready to defend his title. The 2023 Rio Open is the first ATP 500 clay-court tournament of the season and so it makes points and prize money distributed at the event very interesting for players, who focus on this surface.

Overall, $2,013,940 will be distributed to players at the 2023 Rio Open and $376,620 of that will go to the champion. The winner will get also 500 valuable points for the ATP Rankings and of course, the champion's trophy.

But not only the champion is rewarded well in Rio de Janeiro. The defeated finalist gets solid 300 points but also very nice prize of $202,640. The two defeated semifinalists will get 180 points each as well as $108,000.

For quarterfinalists, the reward is $55,170 and 90 points, while players that lose in the second round get 45 points and $29,455.
