The draw and the host nations for the 2023 Davis Cup Finals group stage have been revealed.
The group stage of the 2023 Davis Cup Finals will take place from September 12th until 17th. Two nations from each group will then advance to the Final 8 knockout, which will be held in Malaga from November 21st until 26th.
Spain will also host one of the groups in September. Group C will be played in Valencia. Spain will welcome three countries, one of which is Serbia. That means Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, who will likely lead the home country, could welcome Novak Djokovic.
But it won't be only about the two countries in Valencia, and they will also have to remember their rivals. The Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea are the other two countries that will compete in Group C.
Another group will take place relatively close to Spain. Bologna, Italy will host Group A. Canada is the seeded team in the group, but it will be hosted by Italy. The other two nations in this group are Sweden and Chile.
One of the most exciting groups of this year's group stage is certainly Group B. It will be played in Manchester, Great Britain, and the home nation will need all of the support from the British crowd.
They will take on the second-seeded Australia but also two historically very strong nations. Frances and Switzerland will travel to Manchester to fight for the two spots in the Final 8.
Group D will be played in Croatia. Although the venue has yet to be confirmed, the fourth-seeded nation will certainly host this group. It will also be one of the more exciting groups.
The Netherlands will be one of the dark horses in this group together with Finland. But probably the top favorites to win will be the United States.
The draw for the knockout stage will be made after the eight nations that make it to the Final 8 are known in September.
