World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will be able to completely fulfill her enjoyment of LEGO after becoming Poland's brand ambassador for the toy company.
Swiatek has already begun her season on the court and won't be feeling rusty after playing at the United Cup. She got to the final of the event with Team Poland but narrowly lost out to Team Germany.
Staying in the right mental state off the court is a key part of Swiatek's huge success on it, and she has one unique way of helping herself to be in the best mental shape: building LEGO.
The Polish player builds LEGO as a way to keep her mind from tennis, and to stop doing things like looking at social media. This sometimes includes building LEGO before her matches.
That means Swiatek is unsurprisingly thrilled by her new role. Posing next to some large LEGO, the four-time Grand Slam champion gave the exciting news on her X page.
"I know how much you've been talking about it and thinking that me and THIS would be a great match. And here it is! From today I'm LEGO brand ambassador in Poland and it means: Even more LEGO bricks in my life!"
The defending French Open champion has been open about how she uses LEGO as part of her mental preparation. However, she also made clear what the general mission was with LEGO.
".... What's equally important: that together with LEGO we share with you our passion, creativity and just fun, empowering the next generation to play with LEGO bricks."
Swiatek, who will play in Stuttgart later in the season, has seen what a positive impact LEGO has had on her. It is great to see her using her profile to try and spread that to other people.
