Serena Williams will have a mini-farewell tour after she announced her retirement from tennis. It will come after the 2022 US Open and the TOur has already started in Toronto where she said goodbye to Canada last night after losing to Belinda Bencic.
Williams will then move to Cincinnati and finally New York in what will be her final tennis chapters. Naturally, interest has peaked since her announcement and everyone wants to see her play once more before she finally calls it quits.
According to reports from ABC News approximately 13,000 U.S. Open tickets were sold on Tuesday. A big number (4500) of those are for the event's opening night despite no confirmation that Williams will play in that slot.
