After two shaky performances, Iga Swiatek got back into winning in a dominant style as she defeated Jessica Pegula in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Roland Garros in 90 minutes.

Iga Swiatek is undefeated in 33 matches in a row already and it looks like she won't be stopped at the 2022 Roland Garros and break the streaks of Serena and Venus Williams. In the quarterfinals, Jessica Pegula attempted to stop her, but she couldn't.

The young Pole started the match with a break and although she got broken back in the next game after losing 40-love lead, she worked towards her goal throughout the set and after converting 2 out of 3 breakpoints she later had, she won the first set 6-3.

In the second set, the quality of the tennis decreased a bit from both players as Swiatek made more unforced errors than she hit winners. However, her opponent made even more mistakes and so the world number 1 triumphed easily 6-3, 6-2 in just 90 minutes.

In the semifinals, she will play against Daria Kasatkina who is in a great form on clay this season. On the other hand, Pegula might enter Top 10 of the WTA Rankings for the first time in her career, unless Coco Gauff wins the 2022 Roland Garros by beating Daria Kasatkina in the final. In every other scenario, Pegula will become the Top 10 member.
