Simona Halep's dedication to her partnership with Patrick Mouratoglou has been demonstrated by the 30-year-old's involvement in celebrating the 2022 class at the Mouratoglou Academy
Halep and Mouratoglou started working in April of this year when the French coach got permission from Serena Williams to work with her. Williams has been out for a long time, and her future in the sport is unclear.
The move received much attention in the tennis world. Williams won 10 Grand Slam titles during her time with Mouratoglou, meaning expectations were high from the beginning of his time with the Romanian.
Unfortunately, Halep's results with Mouratoglou have not been good by her high standards. Her most recent setback was a defeat to Qinwen Zheng in the second round of the French Open.
However, the pair are still in the early stages of their coaching partnership, and the latest news about Halep's involvement with the class of 2022 indicates that their relationship is still in a strong place.
The two-time Grand Slam champion made a statement about how great it was to celebrate with the graduates and wished them well for the future.
"What an honour it was to celebrate the 2022 graduates of @mouratoglou_tennis_academy. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck in your next chapter in life. Always remember to give it your all, trust yourself, and dream big even if it seems scary!"
Having a player as successful as Halep at the ceremony was undoubtedly an incredible moment for the class graduating from the academy. If that does not motivate them to continue working hard on their games, then nothing will.
Halep's attention will now turn to the grass-court season. The 2019 Wimbledon champion will be hopeful of reviving her year on a surface where she has so many great memories. It will be fascinating to observe whether she can do that.
