In the 2022 US Open final, World No. 2 Ons Jabeur suffered a devastating loss to top-seeded and World No. 1 Iga Swiatek.

The Tunisian displayed some exceptional tennis in the second set, but she was unable to prevent Swiatek from winning the match easily in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6(5), and securing her third Grand Slam.

The Tunisian maintained composure during the presentation of the trophy but as she got back to the locker room, she lost control of her emotions and started crying. She can be seen crying in pictures that have appeared online as her staff consoles her following another missed opportunity to win her first Major title.

"This one is going to be tough. We'll tell you in the next few days if I'm going to be able to sleep a little bit. It's part of tennis. Winning or losing is part of it. And fortunately, it is me. I struggled to win my first WTA title. It took me time. So I believe this will take me time." said Jabeur after the match
