Aryna Sabalenka talked about women's tennis ahead of the 2024 Madrid Open, admitting that she favors men's tennis when it comes to watching.

Quite a few female tennis players admitted they prefer men's tennis to women's tennis when it comes to watching the sport in their free time, although many tennis players don't watch as much tennis as people assume they do.

Their life revolves around tennis, and it's understandable that they might want to get away from that a little bit. Sabalenka talked about women's tennis ahead of the 2024 Madrid Open, where she's the defending champion.

She first commented on her level in recent weeks, which hasn't been very good.

"I feel that I have lowered the level a little within that hypothetical 'Big Three', this last month seems more like a Big Two (laughs). However, I am happy to be part of this group. I hope to maintain my level and that things They keep playing this way."

She also talked about watching her rivals, admitting that she doesn't really watch the matches of Iga Swiatek or Elena Rybakina. When it comes to watching tennis, Sabalenka prefers men's tennis because she finds it more interesting.

"I don't watch their games, no: I feel like I've played against them enough and that, if I face one of them again, my coach is going to show me images of their games to analyze and prepare me."

"I'm not someone who watches too much tennis, I prefer to watch men's tennis rather than women's tennis, I feel like there is more logic and it's more interesting to watch."

Eventually, everybody has their own taste, and even though many would expect the Belarusian to watch her fellow rivals, she doesn't, but at the same time, she also doesn't watch a lot of tennis at all.
