Emma Raducanu to compete at new WTA event in Austin

Emma Raducanu's schedule wasn't known when she departed Australia but her first stop will be the ATX Open in Austin.

Raducanu had a tumultuous stay down under starting well in Auckland but then getting injured. She recovered in time for the Australian Open but ran into Coco Gauff early. She was unsure how things would go in the next couple of weeks but it seems to be determined.

Her next stop will be the ATX Open in Austin starting on February 27th and running through March 4th. The event will be a warm-up event for the Premier events in Indian Wells and Miami that will follow after that. The news was announced on social media with ATX Open director Van Rensburg releasing a statement.

We are thrilled that Emma, the youngest Grand Slam champion in the game today, will be coming to the ATX Open. We look forward to her joining Danielle, Sloane and Peyton for our inaugural tournament, and are very excited to know that we will be welcoming them to Austin in less than one month.
