Danielle Collins Wins Back-To-Back Titles Thanks To Charleston Brilliance

After winning the Miami Open last week, Danielle Collins added another trophy at the Charleston Open, continuing her impressive streak.

The American is playing the tennis of her life right now. She added another win to her tally, making it 13 wins in a row dating back to the Miami Open. She won that event, which is the biggest trophy of her career, and now she added another significant milestone.

The significance of all of her latest achievements is even larger because she's retiring at the end of the year. She's months away from stepping away from tennis, and she's playing the best tennis of her life.

In the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Charleston, Collins didn't have any problems against Daria Kasatkina, who played a really good tournament up to the final.

However, the 30-year-old is just the better player right now, and there probably isn't anyone who would want to play her right now. The match itself was another solid performance, especially since she didn't serve well early on.

She did exceptionally well outplaying Kasatkina from the baseline the entire match. The Russian is not generally an attacking player. She'll get many balls back, but Collins had no time for that.

She attacked relentlessly and did it well for most of the match. The first set was a 6-2 cruise, during which Collins didn't face a single break point, losing only six points on her serve.

She destroyed Kasatkina on her second serve and did something similar in the second set. She kept playing well and, once again, took advantage of her opponent's second serve for an early 4-0 lead.

From there, it was simple to finish off the match, especially during this incredible streak, as the final score of the match was 6-2, 6-1 for Collins, who won back-to-back titles for the first time in her tennis career.
