Bianca Andreescu didn't give her second-round opponent at the 2022 Madrid Open, Danielle Collins, any chance, as she dominated the match in less than an hour.

After not playing since the 2021 Indian Wells, the Canadian made her return to the WTA Tour, and she's been quite successful so far. After winning her first match at the 2022 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart against Jule Niemeier, she lost to eventual finalist Aryna Sabalenka, but only in three sets.

She then moved to the Spanish capital, where she was able to beat Alison Riske-Amritraj in three sets in the first round, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. But the draw was quite ruthless to her, giving her the sixth-seeded Collins in the second round.

However, the 2019 US Open champion was more ruthless to her opponent than the draw was to her. After losing the opening game of the match, the young Canadian went on to win 10 games in a row before her opponent finally won another game to make it 6-1, 4-1.

However, that didn't stop Andreescu as she marched on to win the remaining two games of the match to eventually win the match 6-1, 6-1 and advance into the third round of the 2022 Madrid Open.

Previously, Andreescu admitted that she wanted to stop playing tennis for some time, but now she's back, and she seems to be strong again.

In the next round, she can already face a third American player in a row as she will meet the winner of the match between the twelfth-seeded Jessica Pegula and Kaia Kanepi, who is a qualifier in the Spanish capital.

Regardless of how far she goes at the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, the former world no. 4 already showed that her tennis is the reason why many want to see her competing regularly again.
