2023 Morocco Open Rabat WTA Draw With Fernandez, Stephens, Parks & more

The 2023 Morocco Open presents a chance for players to get some good match practice and get experience on the WTA Tour.

The 2023 Morocco Open in Rabat, which has also an interesting and long name - Grand Prix Son Altesse Royale La Princesse Lalla Meryem, is played from May 21st to 27th in Rabat, Morocco.

It's one of a few tournaments that is played on the African continent and in 2023 it features a very interesting mix of youth and experience. The last year's event was won by Martina Trevisan and the Italian is the top seed also in 2023.

In the first round, she will play against Nuria Parrizas Diaz from Spain, and in the second round, she can meet a winner of the match between a qualifier and Sada Nahimana, who will make her debut on the WTA Tour as a first player from her country, Burundi.

But there will be also a couple of players that have experience with a Grand Slam final in Rabat. The 2021 US Open finalist, Leylah Fernandez, is one of them and the Canadian will play against Sara Sorribes Tormo in her first match.

The 2017 US Open champion, Sloane Stephens, who recently made moms happy with her announcement, will be the second seed in Rabat and she will play against Vera Zvonareva in the first round.
