Disturbing footage has emerged of Iga Swiatek being verbally abused at the 2025 Miami Open by a man who is known to be obsessed with her.

Swiatek created attention in recent weeks after getting angrier than usual on the court. That included her hitting a ball back in a ball boy's direction during her loss to Mirra Andreeva at the 2025 Indian Wells Open, although it did bounce over him.

After the incident, Swiatek wrote a lengthy social media post about how she gets vilified by some whether she shows little emotion or a lot of it. The WTA world No. 2 also mentioned how challenging the last few months, which included a one-month ban for a positive doping test, had been.

Swiatek does not hide how difficult the Polish media and some Polish fans can be in particular. That point became more salient and her recent behavior on the court even more understandable after a video of her being abused during a practice session circulated online.

As can be seen in the video below, an unpleasant man shouted at Swiatek in Polish during the session. The video, put together by a fan, gives the hater's identity and what he said to the five-time Grand Slam champion.

An X (formerly Twitter) account that went by the name Dzonny Bravo (it has since been deleted) had revealed his pathetic plan to ask Swiatek about her mother and possibly talk to the 23-year-old's physiotherapist, Daria Abramowicz.

"Tomorrow I'm going to Miami. I'll ask Igushka about her relationship with her mother. Do you have any questions for Daria, because I'll ask them at training."

The deleted account had shared a brief clip of him shouting at Swiatek and then wrote a post claiming there is a rift between the four-time French Open winner and her mother due to Abramowicz, despite there being no evidence to back that up.

"Do you think @Iga_Swiatek listened and called her mother before today's match? I bet @abramowczd put her dirty hands on Igushka's phone and there was no call to her mother. Reconciliation between Iga and her mother would mean a significant decrease in Daria's influence on Iga. A calculating manipulator like Abramovich would never allow that."

Putting aside the troll's inability to spell Abramowicz's surname correctly, making such comments about Swatek's personal life is disgusting and shows his unhealthy obsession with the WTA star.

Genuine fans of Swiatek think they noticed a bodyguard in her team during her match against Elise Mertens. A man with an orange lanyard and a shirt with "guard" written on it sat with the Pole's team.

It has been speculated that the man had a ticket for that match, but did not attend after those around Swiatek intervened to ensure he was not there, with a bodyguard added for additional protection. That means the hater's seat planned seat before not attending might have been near her team.

Hopefully, Swiatek is okay and the person responsible for the abuse does not reappear at any future tournaments. Others, such as Emma Raducanu, have dealt with stalkers and can relate to what Swiatek went through.
