Jack Draper has pulled out of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) Grand Final happening in London this week.
Draper competes in the UTS under the name ‘The Power’. He won the event’s Grand Final in 2023 and was scheduled to vie for the title again this year. But an injury to his left arm has derailed such plans.
The Brit’s arm has been troubling him since the early clay-court season. He underwent a scan during Wimbledon and discovered a bone bruise.
The 23-year-old didn’t hit the tennis ball until the US Open, where he had to withdraw from his second-round match against Zizou Bergs after the pain renewed. He consequently ended his season then.
Draper was projected to start his comeback from the UTS tournament, which will run from December 5-7 inside London’s Copper Box Arena. However, he announced his withdrawal from the event through a social media post on Monday.
"I’ve been working hard to be back for the UTS in London but frustratingly I’m just not quite ready. It’s a tough call as at this point I want nothing more than to get out there and compete but I’ve been advised [to] take more time. I’m sorry to let down fans and miss out on the event."

Draper will be replaced by Frenchman Ugo Humbert. He’s next slated to represent Great Britain at the 2026 United Cup in Australia. The event starts on January 2, two weeks before the main draw of the Australian Open action kicks off.

Jack Draper earned his first year-end Top 10 finish this season

Jack Draper began the season as the World No. 15 riding a wave of momentum after winning the Erste Bank Open in Vienna in the latter half of 2024.
He converted the traction into a Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells—his biggest achievement thus far, and entered the ATP Top 10 for the first time.
He produced a run to the final at the Madrid Masters and to the quarterfinals at the Italian Open. Those performances propelled him to a career-high ranking of World No. 4 in the men’s singles.
Draper entered the French Open main draw as the fifth seed and remained alive until Alexander Bublik defeated him in the fourth round. Following the exit, he played in the Queen’s Club Championships and reached as far as the semi-finals.
The Brit lost to veteran Marin Cilic in the second round of Wimbledon as the injury surfaced.
A few weeks later, he joined forces with Jessica Pegula to form the top seed pairing at the revamped US Open mixed-doubles competition. The duo fought for the title until losing to Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud in the semifinals.
He then defeated Federico Agustin Gomez in his singles opener at Flushing Meadows before quitting the event with the left arm injury.
Draper didn’t play any tennis for the remaining season but managed to stay inside the Top 10 before the year ended.
