Carlos Alcaraz enjoys getting new tattoos, and he added another one during the off-season, celebrating his 2025 US Open win.
Alcaraz got his first tattoo to mark his maiden major win at the 2022 US Open. He has the date of the final match, September 11th, 2022, tattooed on his left arm. In 2024, he added another tattoo to commemorate his maiden Wimbledon win.
Only a few months later, the Spaniard added yet another tattoo after winning the Roland Garros. Back then, he also admitted he would get a tattoo to commemorate a possible gold medal at the Paris Olympics, but he ultimately fell to Novak Djokovic in the final of the Olympic Games.
Given how incredibly successful he has been at 22, Alcaraz probably can't get a new tattoo for every major title he wins, as he would probably run out of free spots on his skin very quickly. Despite that, he decided to enrich his initial US Open tattoo from 2022.
Alcaraz used the off-season to visit a tattoo artist, and he has now added the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge above the date of his first US Open win, commemorating both of his victories at Flushing Meadows.
Although he is an incredible tennis player, Alcaraz also draws plenty of attention for his off-court life. Tattoos aren't the only fashion statement he has made over the years, as he recently bleached his hair blonde.
He has now returned to his old hairstyle, but his new tattoo will certainly draw some eyeballs in Melbourne, Australia, where the Spaniard will attempt to win his seventh career major title, his first in Australia. That would likely mean yet another tattoo.

Carlos Alcaraz could end his tennis career at 25 says former Wimbledon winner

Apart from bleaching his hair and getting a new tattoo, Alcaraz has generated plenty of headlines by parting ways with his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero. It was a decision that shocked the tennis world, including former Wimbledon winner Marion Bartoli.
Bartoli recently spoke about the split on RMC Sports, saying she is worried Alcaraz might end his tennis career at 25, like Bjorn Borg, if he doesn't have enough guidance in his career.
"I am worried, but in a measured way, because he is someone who has exceptional qualities to begin with. But he needs structure because otherwise, he could end up quitting tennis like Borg did at 25."
"And we have a genius here, so we don’t want that; we want him to continue for a very, very long time. What’s going to happen is that for the first six months, it’s going to be a trial-and-error process."
"There will be names circulating, people wondering who will take the job, who won’t. If things don’t work out with the person he hires for whatever reason, and it’s Sinner who starts taking the first two Grand Slams of the season — that is, the Australian Open, where Jannik is the overwhelming favourite, and Roland Garros, where he was one point away from winning it — he’s going to call Juan Carlos back immediately, that’s obvious."
