Rafael Nadal started a new chapter in his life when he became a father, and he now finally confirmed that everyone was doing well.

Nadal might be one of the greatest tennis players of all time, but he also has a personal life like everyone else. For over two decades, the Spaniard has dedicated the vast majority of his time to his tennis career.

That's also why he managed to win 22 Grand Slam titles and why he's the best clay-court player in the history of the sport. The list of Nadal's achievements is too long to name, but he certainly wouldn't put any of those above what he got to experience recently.

According to reports from various Spanish publications, Nadal became a father on October 8th, 2022. His wife gave birth to their son.

However, in the weeks leading up to the child's birth, there have been multiple reports coming from Spain that Nadal's wife, Maria Francisca Perello, wasn't doing well and that she had to be hospitalized.

That happened while Nadal was competing at the 2022 US Open. The Spanish legend was far away from his family, trying to do well in New York. Nadal then immediately traveled back home once he lost in the fourth round of the US Open to Frances Tiafoe.

Luckily, everything ended well for Nadal and his family. After the reports of the birth of his child, Nadal confirmed it himself with a post on Twitter.

The 22-time major winner, and now also a father, informed his fans with a short message in Spanish, saying that everyone was doing well. Fans were relieved to hear the good news, and Nadal and his wife immediately received thousands of congratulatory messages.

"Hello everyone. After a few days and many loving messages, I just wanted to thank you all. We are very happy and everyone is very well! A big hug."
