Ahead of the 2022 Roland Garros, Novak Djokovic decided to prepare in his own Novak Tennis Center in Belgrade with Miomir Kecmanovic.
While Rafael Nadal already practiced in front of the crowd at the Roland Garros and was welcomed by thousands, Novak Djokovic chose a different approach and the Serbian is preparing in his hometown. On Wednesday, he was hitting with Miomir Kecmanovic who saw a major improvement in his clay-court play since being coached by David Nalbandian.
At the 2022 Roland Garros, Djokovic is seen as a favourite by many and in a recent interview Mats Wilander, who has been a longtime admirer of Djokovic, said that the Serbian is in the best position to win the event.
"For many reasons I have to say Novak (Djokovic). First because Rome has just won and that will give him confidence; then because I believe that he has within him a feeling of revenge after everything that has happened to him in recent months... Unable to play the Australian Open."
"He is the defender of the crown. He has proven to himself that he can play long games again despite the defeat with Alcaraz in Madrid. In Monte Carlo he made a bad impression at the end of his match with Davidovich, he seemed tired. Now he's better and he seems to be. He is the favourite in Paris."
