Rafael Nadal will seek to win his 14th Roland Garros championship and his 22nd Grand Slam trophy on Sunday after winning his semifinal match on his birthday on Friday.
The 36-year-old Spaniard, who celebrated his birthday on 3rd of June, following a heartbreaking win to Alexander Zverev, will face Casper Ruud in the 2022 Roland Garros final on Sunday. During Friday, when he celebrated his birthday as well as semifinal win, Rafael Nadal was followed by cameras and gave fans an insights into his day.
The day started with a practice at 10:30 as he accompanied it with a couple of words, saying: "Playing the semifinals here at Roland Garros means a lot to me. If I'm not playing good or if I'm losing in that semifinal match, it's not going to be because I'm not going to be focused."
At 12:00, he did a little gym session where he met also his semifinal opponent, Alexander Zverev. After that, he entered the court shortly before 3pm and unfortunately his opponent got injured at 18:09 and the Spaniard spoke also about that when he said: "You feel very sorry for the colleague."
