Holger Rune was incredibly angry at umpire Mohamed Layhani for missing to call 'let' during a crucial point in the match between the Dane and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Auger-Aliassime ultimately won the match, but Rune was upset with the umpire for overlooking a significant distraction that led Rune to lose concentration on a vital point. During the rally, a screen behind Auger-Aliassime went dark and then re-emerged, distracting Rune, and he wasn't thrilled about it.
"What the f*ck are you doing? You must be f*cking kidding me. How can you not see this? Man, it’s 40 all something, five all (in the) second set, final, you made the biggest mistake man, and you don’t even look at me. You're too proud to look at me. You're like a king" - ranted Rune while sitting on his bench following the dropped serve.
Lahyani responded that he would have called 'let' if he saw it but he didn't. Rune continued to rant after the match going back and forth with fans: "So this is fair? With automatically line calls what is the umpire doing if not keeping an eye on this ???"
