It is set to be a great tournament at the Queen's Club in 2023, with four Top 20 players committed to playing the ATP 500 event.
The grass court tournament always produces great tennis each year. The Cinch Championships is one of two ATP 500 events played on grass, along with the Halle Open, and serves as great preparation for Wimbledon.
The 2023 edition of the tournament was notable for being Carlos Alcaraz's first title on grass. He won the trophy by beating Alex de Minaur in the final and subsequently won Wimbledon a few weeks later after his initial success at the Queen's Club.
Some still see clay as the Spaniard's best surface, and one Davis Cup captain says Alcaraz is the favourite for the French Open. This is despite the drop in form he has experienced since winning Wimbledon.
The fans at the grass-court event will be delighted to have the world No. 2 returning. However, there are three other great players joining Alcaraz at the Queen's Club in 2024.
Holger Rune, who has been forgiven by Patrick Mouratoglou for past comments, is one of these players. The Dane surprisingly appointed Mouratoglou as his coach again, and it will be interesting to observe their progress together this time.
Last year's runner-up, Alex de Minaur, is also set to return to the Queen's Club. The Australian is currently ranked inside the Top 10 and just keeps improving. He has a chance to show his grass court credentials again in 2024.
Frances Tiafoe is the third Top 20 player confirmed for the tournament. The American has struggled somewhat for form in recent months. However, he is always entertaining to watch, and the fans will be pleased to see him return to the event.
With those players featuring, there will outstanding tennis for the spectators to enjoy.
