Stefanos Tsitsipas did a little bit of everything in his match against Diego Schwartzman at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters, which ultimately resulted in the next-round ticket.

The Greek dominated before starting to struggle and eventually coming back to win in an even more impressive fashion. The final score was 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-4 for Tsitsipas, who advanced to the semifinal of the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters after the craziest match of the day.

He dominated for the better part of the match before losing the second set, which seemed to be won, and coming back to win in spectacular fashion. Tsitsipas has great comfort in the Principality of Monaco as the Greek raced to the trophy at the ATP Masters 1000 event last year and looked well on his way to another one this year.

The start was great for the Greek player, as he broke Schwartzman early and we almost saw a bagel. It was 3-0 and then 5-0, before the Argentinian pulled one break back, and Tsitsipas won the set 6-2.

It was a sign of things to come, but nobody could have imagined how much the Greek would struggle. The second set featured more good play from Tsitsipas, who was looking at a very tired Argentinian.

Schwartzman played a couple of marathon matches in the previous rounds, and it clearly affected him. Tsitsipas took a 3-1 early lead that became a 5-2 lead later on.

From that point on, Tsitsipas lost 11 points in a row, losing his serve at 5-4 when he served for the match. The set arrived at the tie-break, which the Greek couldn't handle well, sailing balls wide at an alarming pace. He lost the tie-break 3-7, and the third set had to decide.

In the third set, Tsitsipas did not open well and in his first service game, he committed a foot fault on the second serve at 30-30. Schwartzman jumped out to a 4-0 lead but found himself struggling, allowing Tsitsipas to come back to 4-3.

By then the Greek was rolling, and he rolled into the semifinal with a 6-4 final set finish.
