The Atlanta Open is being retired as an ATP 250 event after 2024, but the event is seeking to go out in a memorable fashion with a special champions match.

Many amazing memories have been created at the tournament over the years. Last year, Taylor Fritz beat Aleksandar Vukic to win the title after one of the best ATP 250 finals of the season.

This occurred after Fritz defeated JJ Wolf in an all-American semifinal at the event. Unsurprisingly, there was always a very strong American contingent at the tournament, including some legends of American tennis.

Some of those legends will now be appearing in a special champions match that will celebrate 15 years of the Atlanta Open. This is sure to get the local fans interested in the final iteration of the event on the ATP Tour.

Andy Roddick is one of the players who will be featured. The 2003 US Open champion won the last of his 32 ATP titles at the 2012 Atlanta Open. He retired at the US Open a few months after that title run.

John Isner will also appear in the champions' contest. He is the most successful player in the tournament's history, having won it six times and three other finals. Isner retired at last year's US Open.

The Bryan brothers are the other two players set to play in the match. Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan had one of the most successful doubles partnerships in the history of the sport, including winning 16 Grand Slam titles.

It should be a fun and entertaining way to celebrate the history of a great tournament. The Atlanta Open has been a valued part of the ATP Tour for many years It looks like it will go out in style this year.
