Rafael Nadal's foundation made a huge announcement on Thursday of the release of three new postcard stamps featuring the Spanish legend's image.

Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion and one of tennis' all-time greats, signed an alliance through his foundation with Correos - one of the largest postal services in the globe - for the release of three postcards for his fans called the "Philatelic Solidarity Pack".

All profits generated from the collectibles will be channeled towards the foundation's projects in Spain and India. Nadal was absent during the official presentation, but his wife Maria Francisca Perello, who serves as the director for the foundation was immensely grateful for the initiative and lauded Correos' involvement.

"This pack is not just a collection of stamps and postcards, it is an opportunity for everyone who shares our vision to join us in the cause of changing lives through sport. Each pack is a small gesture of support that will allow us to expand our impact in society."

"Thank you again to the entire Correos team and its president Juan Manuel Serrano for giving us this magnificent opportunity and sealing such a special alliance. Thank you so much."

The event was hosted in Correos' main offices in Madrid. A collaborative video has since been shared on social media, which explains how fans will be able to purchase each of the three stamps that are currently on sale online.

The Rafael Nadal Foundation was founded in 2008. Through its benevolent fund, it is one of the ways in which Nadal gives back to society. The foundation works on many charitable projects, with its major focus aligned on helping disadvantaged children through school and sports.

The 37-year-old is currently working on his fitness after recovering from hip surgery. Nadal has not played competitively since a second-round defeat to Mackenzie McDonald at the 2023 Australian Open. He has been practicing on hard courts in the past few weeks and is planning to return to action at next year's Australian Open.
