Novak Djokovic is still one of the best players on the ATP Tour, if not the best, but still, he gets asked about his retirement.

For most of the athletes, age is a natural factor for stopping their careers, however, that doesn't seem to be the case for the 24-time major winner. He's playing better than ever, and that's why he's not thinking about the retirement.

He may not be one of the players that retire at their peak, as he wants to keep going as long as he's competitive. Djokovic's age is just a number, and during a recent interview with Jon Wertheim, he spoke about his future retirement.

"That’s a very good question that I don’t have an answer to. Maybe the moment will become closer once I start not to win the Grand Slams and not to be able to be one of the main contenders for major titles."

Recently, it was one of the youngsters, Holger Rune, who said that he believes that by beating Djokovic regularly, the NextGen players may be able to send him into retirement.

That's something that the 24-time Grand Slam champion also believes. He says, that once he'll start losing to youngsters regularly, it will signal to him that it's time to stop.

"And once the young guys start kicking my butt, then I’ll probably, you know, start to rethink and question whether I should keep going. But for now, it’s all good."

The 36-year-old also spoke about what he would do after his career. As an athlete, his life is very busy at the moment, and after his retirement, Djokovic would want to fully dedicate the time to his family.

"But when I leave tennis, meaning when I don’t have tournaments and I don’t practice, I’m with my family. And I really try to be there, be the best husband and father I can be and do other things that really make me happy."
