Nick Kyrgios made a surprising announcement when he announced that he's launching his own OnlyFans account.
OnlyFans is a popular social media platform, often tied to content creators posting spicy, 18+, content on their accounts. However, the platform is not only intended for that type of content, as it was initially meant to offer an exclusive "behind the scenes" for fans.
While spending a lot of time away from the tennis courts and competition on the ATP Tour, Kyrgios made a decision to join the platform, and offer his fans interesting content from his own life.
It's a very similar move to Emma Raducanu, who is part of a different platform, where she offers tennis lessons. The Australian launched his account only a few hours ago, and he made an announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
"It just got a whole lot crazier… join me on onlyfans! It’s free to subscribe for everyone! Everything from behind the scenes to on court and everyday life. See you all there."
So far, Kyrgios already added some content for the first subscribers, as he added a behind the scenes of his interview with Piers Morgan, but also asked his fans for some questions, which he will then answer, while also welcoming new members.
"Welcome to the club! This is the only place you will get a look behind the doors. let me know what you would like to see more of! And hopefully along the way I can get to know you all a little better."
It will be interesting to see whether Kyrgios' new account will get some traction, as he was the one who previously criticized a person using the platform. It was when he was talking about his old friend and rival, Bernard Tomic, although he was then referring to the "spicy" content of his girlfriend, not the platform as a whole.
"I got compared with Bernard Tomic today and I've never felt more insulted. Does he have a foundation? @nkfoundation - does he have the accomplishments? Did he raise money for the bushfires? It's disgusting man. Do your research, also l ain't fuc**ng with anyone who does only fans. Oh and by accomplishments (l beat the big 4)."
