Nick Kyrgios has shared his candid opinion on who the GOAT of men's tennis is based on a very decisive metric.

The trio of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic are widely considered the best in tennis history, and the question of who takes the top spot when it comes to being the greatest has always divided opinions.

Last year, Djokovic won three Grand Slam titles and matched Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at 20, making the discourse even more palatable and fascinating. This year, the Serb has not added to his Grand Slam collection as he watched the Australian Open as a spectator following his infamous deportation.

Instead, his great rival Nadal took full advantage of his absence to win just his second title in Melbourne and pull clear of the Grand Slam count. After Djokovic failed to even the score at Roland Garros, losing to the Spaniard in their blockbuster quarterfinal, he lost further ground.

Nadal went all the way, beating Alexander Zverev (via retirement) and Casper Ruud for a record-extending 14th French Open and 22nd major. Kyrgios, who is competing at the 2022 Stuttgart Open and is one of the most successful players against the Big Three, made his case on why Nadal is the best of the three men.

"Nadal is the best out of the Big 3, because he has won 22 Majors while Djokovic and Federer have 20."

Federer still intends to return to the Tour at some point this year, but whether he can expand his trophy cabinet by winning his 21st Grand Slam after undergoing multiple surgeries remains very questionable. He hasn't played since the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.

Djokovic, however, will be the favorite to win at the All England Club and truncate Nadal's lead, especially now that the Spanish lefty is reportedly set to take time off to recover both emotionally and physically from his exploits in Paris.
