Andy Murray led against Alex de Minaur at the 2022 Laver Cup, but he couldn't end the match victoriously, losing in three sets.
After Casper Ruud defeated Jack Sock in the opening match and Stefanos Tsitsipas added another win against Diego Schwartzman, Team Europe was up 2-0, but they lost their first match thanks to Alex de Minaur's comeback win.
In the third match of the 2022 Laver Cup, Murray, who was trying to add the third point for his team, took on de Minaur, who was in search of the first point for Team World.
Despite Day 1 giving only one point per victory, both players left their hearts on the court and battled for 150 minutes. The match started really well for the Australian, who got a break in the first game and kept his advantage to lead 3-1.
However, the former ATP World No. 1 player kept showing that he was a better player in the first set and eventually got the break back to level the score.
When it already seemed that the set would be decided in a tie-break, Murray shifted gears and added yet another break to win the first set 7-5. However, it was De Minaur who had a much better start to the second set.
The Australian got a break and didn't allow his opponent to have any break points until the eighth game. But even then, he kept his cool and added another break in the following game to win the set 6-3 and force a match tie-break.
De Minaur got the first mini-break of the match tie-break, and despite both players losing their serve three more times each, the early advantage was enough for the Australian to secure a first point for Team World at the 2022 Laver Cup after winning 5-7, 6-3, 10-7.
