Daniil Medvedev's presentation, while dressed in his new tennis apparel, has left tennis fans on social media talking and in a chucklesome mood.

Medvedev is among a handful of ATP stars, including World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and new recruit Arthur Fils, who is sponsored by French sportswear company Lacoste. His outfit for the 2024 Australian Open was recently launched.

Medvedev was sporting a fresh new look in a lighter green t-shirt with a dark green sleeve, yoke, and neck collar. The polo was paired with a white wristband, shorts, and socks.

This was a different look from last year when he lost to Sebastian Korda in the third round of the tournament, where he combined the colors red and white. The most amusing part of the outfit was that the Russian posed with his shirt tucked in during the official photoshoot.

Tennis fans did not spare Medvedev's hilarious pose and took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions. One user felt that Medvedev's mode of dressing resembled that of a golf player and wrote, "Why were we not informed that Daniil has switched to mini-golf?"

Another fan with a witty reaction felt that the one-time Grand Slam champion was dressed like a school boy, saying, "The fit's not actually too bad but the pic looks like he's been dressed by his mum for the school sports carnival."

One user wrote, "He always looks like a kid who's forgotten his P.E. kit and had to grab stuff from the lost property box." Another fan hopes Medvedev's dressing code during the kit launch won't be mimicked on a tennis court, "I hope he won't be wearing the polo top tucked into his shorts on the courts. Nobody wears it like that."

Fascinatingly enough, Medvedev's footwear in the picture made for another hilarious take from one user who wrote, "The white part of his shoes blending in with his socks made me think he was wearing flats for a second."

Medvedev and the rest of the players who have qualified for the 112th edition of the Australian Open will learn the identity of their first-round matches and their respective paths when the draw is released on Thursday, January 11th.
