'Many More Grand Slam Titles For Him': Sinner Poised For Success Says Ivanovic

Jannik Sinner won his maiden Grand Slam at the recent Australian Open, and according to former player Ana Ivanovic, he's going to win many more.

Ivanovic was a great tennis player at her peak, and while she's been out of the sport for many years, she still keeps an eye on it. Most of her attention goes to her Serbian compatriots, but she's quite familiar with what's going on across the sport, including more recently at the Australian Open.

It was the crowning moment for Jannik Sinner, who played an amazing two weeks to lift his maiden Grand Slam trophy. Beating Daniil Medvedev after a tremendous comeback was certainly a victory in style, but even his win over Novak Djokovic in the previous round was a signature performance.

Ivanovic followed the event closely and was amazed by what Sinner was able to do. In an exclusive interview with Ubitennis, Ivanovic shared her thoughts on it.

"It was incredible. The way he played the whole tournament. He really showed mental strength and endurance. The way he strikes the ball with such a sweet spot was great to watch."

Like Sinner, Ivanovic used to be coached by Darren Cahill, so she was happy to see her former coach get another Grand Slam in his collection. She always enjoyed working with the Australian and credits him for helping her tremendously in her own journey.

When it comes to the future, the Serbian is bullish when it comes to Sinner. She sees him adding more Grand Slam trophies in the future.

"He has a really good overall game style. He is mentally and physically super strong. If he just keeps doing what he is doing there are many more Grand Slam titles for him. I really enjoy watching him. He seems like a very nice person, which is very beautiful to see."
