Carlos Alcaraz has done so much winning in his career that he already beat every rank from number one to number 20 on the ATP Tour.
Carlos Alcaraz has been an utterly spectacular tennis player from the moment he broke out in a major fashion two years ago. The Spaniard is enjoying one of the best starts to a tennis career ever. At 20, Alcaraz is a two-time Grand Slam champion, having won his second one recently at Wimbledon.
He also has over ten trophies, has been number one for a number of weeks, and is actually the youngest man ever to become number one in the ATP Rankings. It happened after last year's US Open triumph, and he's still number one on this day.
If that wasn't enough to demonstrate how strong he's been, let's break down another iconic stat. At 20, Alcaraz has already defeated every rank in the Top 20. That means that he's beaten the world number one, number two, three etc; all the way up to number 20 on the rankings.
Now part of this is due to luck, but mostly it's math. If you win enough and go deep in events regularly, sooner or later, you're going to play against every rank. The last one he needed was number two, and he did that at Wimbledon recently by beating Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic is also the number one he beat as it happened last year at the Madrid Open. The same year he defeated Alexander Zverev in the final, who was number 3. Daniil Medvedev was the number 4 he beat at Wimbledon recently, while Tsitsipas was number 5.
Matteo Berrettini and Holger Rune were the ranked 6th when they played him and the list continues with names like Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz and Felix Auger-Aliassime. Just a really impressive stat to have at his fairly young age.
